Transport kits, carts, and necessary equipment throughout the work cell to support efficient operations and uphold both personal and tool certification standards.
Interpret job tasks by reviewing bar charts, SOIs, and IPs, and collaborate with leads to obtain essential drawings and documentation.
Identify and navigate to designated work areas using technical drawings and digital systems that detail airplane and section identifiers.
Check kitted components against installation plans and the bill of materials to ensure they are correct and ready for use.
Identify and retrieve the specified fasteners from PCA/MMO control based on engineering requirements.
Prepare assembly tools by following the tooling setup guidelines and confirming that the locator placement aligns with the aircraft model.
Position and secure parts onto the aircraft structure using alignment tools, clamps, and tooling holes, verifying proper clearances and alignment.
Assemble and modify interior components, including carpets, overhead bins, and seating assemblies.
Able to choose the correct drilling, reaming, and countersinking tools for initial and final hole preparation as outlined in the instructions.
Perform drilling, reaming, and countersinking operations on parts and assemblies by required specifications.
Disassemble components when necessary, deburr holes, and prepare contact surfaces for final assembly and fastening.
Apply necessary materials such as sealants, primers, adhesives, and corrosion-prevention compounds in line with specifications.
Install fasteners following the prescribed sequence, using the correct tools and adhering to engineering standards.
Mark completed work with appropriate symbols for follow-up riveting operations and routed cables or wire bundles as required.
Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements, and report any issues that may impact job performance.
